Menu prices scatter across the internet with no dates and no sources, and they often disagree. On Braum's Menu, every price carries a check date and a source. This page explains what those labels mean.
What “verified” means
A price is marked Verified only when a person on our team has seen that price from one of the sources below and recorded the date. If we have not seen it, the item shows Price being verified, and we keep it out of search results until we have.
Estimated prices
Braum’s does not publish its prices online, and they vary by store. Where we have not yet confirmed a price ourselves, we show an estimate, marked with a tilde (~) and an “Estimated” label instead of “Verified”. Estimates are built from delivery-app listings, older menu price lists and reader reports, adjusted for the price rises we can measure. They can be off by 10 to 20 percent. When we confirm a price at a store, the estimate is replaced and the stamp changes to “Verified” with a date.
Where prices come from
- In-store menu board or sign. Our preferred source. We note the store’s city.
- A store receipt. Good for confirming exact prices and sizes.
- Official menu and nutrition information published by Braum’s, when we can read it directly.
- Food databases that carry the brand’s nutrition figures, when we cannot. Each item’s source note says which one was used. Where databases and other sources disagree, we use the database entry and name the other figure.
- Delivery apps. Listed prices are often higher than in-store prices, so we label them and never use them as our main price.
- Reader reports. We publish a change from readers only after two independent reports, or one report we can confirm another way.
Why prices can differ from what you see
Braum’s sets prices by store and region, so the price at your location can differ from the one we list. Sales tax is not included. Limited-time items come and go. Treat our numbers as a reliable guide, and confirm at your store.
How often we re-check
We aim to confirm every estimated price at a store first, then re-check every item at least every 90 days, popular items more often. When a price has not been checked in over 90 days, its label changes from “Verified” to “Last checked” so you can see how old it is.
The price-change log
When we confirm a new price, we keep the old one. Every change appears, with the date, in our price-change log.
Nutrition and allergens
Calories and nutrition values come from information published by Braum’s or, where we could not read it directly, from a food database that carries the brand’s figures; each item’s source note says which. We show a dash instead of a number when we have no reliable source. We do not offer allergen or medical advice. If you have an allergy or dietary restriction, check the official allergen information and ask the store.
